- 1 pound ground turkey
- 4 slices turkey bacon
- 1 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, finely chopped
- 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup red wine (optional)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crisp. Remove and chop.
- In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté onions, garlic, carrot, and celery until softened.
- Add ground turkey and cook until browned.
