This delicious Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread is the perfect treat for a cozy day at home.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Mix in the melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Add the baking soda and salt, and mix again.
  5. Stir in the flour until just combined.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the cinnamon with some sugar for the swirl.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top, then pour in the remaining batter.
  9. Top with the rest of the cinnamon sugar and walnuts if using.
  10. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Allow to cool before slicing.

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • You can freeze the banana bread for up to 3 months.
