Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, pumpkin puree, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg to the dry ingredients.
  4. Knead the dough until smooth and let it rise for 1 hour.
  5. Roll out the dough and spread with softened butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Shape the dough into pumpkin shapes and place them on a baking tray.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes.
