These Apple Snickerdoodles are a delightful twist on a classic cookie, combining the warm flavors of cinnamon and apples for a truly indulgent treat.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup peeled and diced apples

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla, and mix until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in the diced apples.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool on the sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For an extra kick, you can add chopped nuts or more spices.
  • Make sure to not overbake them for a chewy texture.
