  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 package pie crusts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Place one pie crust in a pie dish and fill with apple mixture. Dot with butter.
  4. Cover with the second pie crust and seal edges. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  6. Reduce temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for 30-40 minutes.
